We are delighted to announce that Matt Alexander has been selected as a finalist in the Heart of Gloucestershire, Volunteer Hero Under 18 category. He has been invited to attend the awards ceremony on 22nd June at Cheltenham Racecourse along with the other finalists. Matt has worked hard to raise funds so that he can take part in the different projects abroad, run by Camps International.
Ian Mean, Editor-in-Chief of The Citizen, has invited the most talented English students from G15 schools to work on a new and exciting project. His vision is for students to work together to produce a feature inside The Citizen called The Young Citizen, which will include stories about young people written by young people.
Millbrook Academy was lucky enough to have Cliff Yates, the famous British poet, visit our school for four days as part of the G15 project. Cliff worked with small groups of Gifted and Talented students from Yr7-10 where students analysed specific poems selected for them and wrote their own.
