Year 8 Battle to Overcome Severn Vale Rally

Congratulations to the Year 8 boys rugby team who battled to record their first win of the season in their first game. Millbrook took to the field following some very positive training sessions at the start of the term.

The boys won the toss and decided to kick to Severn Vale, from that moment Millbrook dominated possession and territory with first half scores coming from Josh Gilkes, Max Carter and Alfie Williams to lead 22-10 at half time.

Millbrook started the second half in the same fashion as the first and it didn't take long for Josh Gilkes to record his second try of the game with a good show a pace down the left wing. However Severn Vale were quickest from the re-start and made Millbrook pay for some lazy defending. This drove the boys to step up their performance and further trys from Sam Newman, Alfie Williams and Harvey George-Berry meant the team finished 41-17 winners.

Millbrook's next game is Beaufort away on 7th October.
