On Friday 23rd March, a group of Year 9 Geography students led by Jo Worthy-Jones from the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, carried out a brook survey to identify and record the natural Flora and Fauna of the area, to help with the production of Local Wildlife Information Boards, which will be sited along this area.

Especially interesting varieties found were the Black Poplar tree with its dark catkins, together with Primroses, Violets and wild Garlic.

Animals and Insects spotted, included a rabbit, shrew and several species of butterflies and bees, flying around in the lovely Spring sunshine!

The findings will be used to produce information and photos which will be included in the "Identification Boards", which will allow people to enjoy reading, when out walking along the Brook.
