A very exciting opportunity opened up this week where as members of the BiC partnership alongside Ptiville and Rednock schools we were invited to a VVIP event in Cheltenham. The VVIP turned out to be HRH Prince Charles. Myself, Nathan Monk from Ecclesiastical and 2 representatives of the student body at Millbrook attended, both of which had first-hand experience of BiC in action. HRH was very interested in what the students had to say and he was impressed by the way BiC has worked alongside the Academy in supporting the students of which Angharad and Kelsey were able and confident.

Students entered a competition called the Success Factor held by BiC on Friday 22 November where students explored the skills of marketing a new product. Each of the cluster schools was invited to bring 1 teacher and 2 teams of 6 Yr 9 students. The 6 teams competed in a day of marketing & enterprise challenges with a view to improving skills such as communication and problem solving.
