Congratulations to all our talented performers who have taken part in the latest Academy performance, Sweeney Todd. Another triumph for the Performing Arts team. Grateful thanks to Jenny Cameron, Jane Henry and all parents and carers who have fetched and carried students to and from rehearsals after school and at the weekends. In addition there are a number of other friends of the academy we would like to thank for their assistance with costumes, music, set design and construction. Pictures are available on the website. You can still come to the see the students perform and there are tickets available on the door tonight and Friday 13 February. Lastly a huge thank you to all the students for giving their time willingly and managing to keep up with their other studies during the day.

I would also like to congratulate Kieran Mees 7AC and Ethan Noble 7DP who triumphed after many rounds of chess in the recent chess tournament. It is a real pleasure to watch them concentrate and play with a competitive edge. Learning to lose with grace is a life skill!

Hopefully spring is just around the corner. In the meantime have a good half term break and we look forward to seeing all students at 8:40am on Monday 23 February.
