Gifted and Talented

What does this mean?

If you are classed as gifted it is said that a student has the ability to excel academically in one or more subjects such as English, Maths, Science and Information Technology.

A student who is talented is described as having the ability to excel in practial skills such as Sport, leadership or artistic performance.

This means that throughout your time at school, your skills are being judged and recorded. Some of you will find yourselves on the gifted and talented register, and this means that you need to continue to work beyond your target grades. If you are feeling brave enough, why not ask for additional work?

Some departments have given reasons for why students will be selected in to this area. The following subjects have made there's available: Art, PE, Maths, Science, H&S. Identification tables. As soon as the other departments have made their's available, they will be published here.
