Millbrook Academy uniform is now available to order from Sportswear International Ltd.

An order form is available to download, which also gives parents a guide to placing orders online. SWI suggest ordering online as their telephone lines become extremely busy. If orders are placed out of term time the uniform must be delivered to the home address. Please remember to order your uniform by 8 August to guarantee delivery for the start of Term 1. The returns and exchange process can take up to 10 working days so please do leave time to cover any exchanges that need doing.

Please note that we will be running a uniform exchange, where students can bring in blazers and PE kit to exchange for larger sizes. Please call to arrange a convenient time to swap uniform. Unfortunately we will only be able to exchange uniform that is is good condition and that has been laundered.

Please find below the Millbrook Academy uniform policy.

Compulsory uniform for all students:
  • Millbrook Academy Blazer.
  • Plain white shirt.
  • Millbrook Academy tie.
  • Boys - Plain black trousers.
  • Girls - Plain black school trousers (skinny/fashion trousers are not acceptable) or knee length skirt.
  • Plain black footwear which can be a choice of shoes, trainers or daps (NO boots). No other visible coloured markings should be on the footwear.

Compulsory PE kit for all students:
  • Millbrook Academy sports top.
  • Millbrook Academy shorts or tracksuit bottoms.
  • Plain dark navy socks.
  • Appropriate footwear for the relevant activity. Students will require non marking or non-black soled trainers for indoor sports activities.

If your son/daughter is unable to do PE they are to bring a note and their kit. The reason for this is that your son/daughter may still be outside for their lesson; if it is raining they will get wet and have nothing to change into. No jewellery is allowed during PE lessons and long hair must be tied back.

Optional extras:
  • Plain black v neck jumper. This can be a Millbrook Academy jumper with the logo on or one bought from another supplier. This is not to be worn as an alternative to the blazer. No cardigans.
  • Small discreet belt.
  • Plain black or navy headscarf - for religious reasons only.
  • Further sportswear can be bought through the Academy but this must be Millbrook Academy clothing. For example, if your son/daughter has opted for the Academy shorts and wants to wear tracksuit bottoms, they must be Millbrook Academy's.
  • Coats can be worn throughout the year but must be removed on entering the Academy.

Jewellery/Make Up:

  • One small stud per ear. No other studs allowed on the face or body.
  • Light discreet make up.
  • A watch.
  • 1 plain ring (band) in total. No bracelets or necklaces.
  • No nail varnish or false nails of any type.
  • Black or dark blue plain small hair bands can be worn by girls.
Hair:
  • No unnatural hair colourings.
  • No tram lines.
  • No extremes of haircut/styles.

If students do not follow the policy the following will happen.

Warning 1

Warning 2

Warning 3

In extreme cases the student will be placed in Isolation until the matter is resolved.

Please note: If there is a genuine issue with uniform, it is the responsibility of the parent/carer to contact the Academy by phone.
