Co-Curricular

At Millbrook Academy we have a tradition of offering high quality opportunities and activities outside the usual curriculum.  These activities are an important and exciting feature of academy life and contribute enormously to our students’ social and academic development. We believe all our students should experience success in some aspect of school life. This gives them the confidence to tackle those parts they find more difficult.

There is an extensive menu of extra-curricular activities on offer including exceptional performing arts and sporting provisions with opportunities to take part in academy performances and team sporting events. Students have the opportunity to experience a trip to France on rugby tour and there is an annual ski trip.

Theatre trips, visits to exhibitions and museums plus excursions to local colleges and universities also occur regularly and provide further opportunities for students to enrich and extend their learning beyond the classroom. We have a broad range of experiences on offer from: Archaeology, badminton, chess club and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to working alongside the Everyman Theatre for performing arts;  students readily enjoy these experiences and relish the unique opportunities that they are given to extend and expand their learning.
